Retro Campaigns is a shirt company that focuses on past political campaigns and they make vintaige looking shirts. All of their designs are printed on soft American Apparel shirts. Also something interesting to note is that a potion of their proceedes are donated to Save Darfur.
Here’s the shirts they sent:

Price: $19.99

They also provide you a fact sheet with quotes from each person’s campaign and what they did in politics. For this Wilkie one, they said:
On June 20, 1943, after a violent race riot broke out in Detroit, killing 34 people, Wendell Willkie (1892 – 1944), spoke out passionately on national radio against both Democrats and Republicans for failing to address civil rights for African Americans:
The desire to deprive some of our citizens of their rights — economic, civic or political — has the same basic motivation as actuates the Fascist mind when it seeks to dominate whole peoples and nations. It is essential that we eliminate it at home as well as abroad.
The other shirt they sent us was for Teddy Kennedy:

Price: $19.99

Overall the shirts are very well printed, but keep in mind they are made to look retro, so the designs are a little faded. Obviously there was no American Apparel back when these campaigns were going on, but who cares. I’m suprised they are allowed to use these images and people’s names without getting in trouble.

We got some stuff from Prop Clothing recently. They’re a poker clothing company, and so much more. PROP Clothing was founded in the card rooms of Los Angeles, California in 2006. After noticing an emerging ‘poker fashion’ at the tables, a few local players decided to get together and form a team. So a team of risk takers, inspired by proposition players and side bets, was born.
Here’s the first shirt:

Price: $24

This is a very nicely done design. A lot of times white doesn’t come out that well on a black shirt, but theirs is flawless, with no holes or “rips” in the printing.
A cool feature of this company is that with each shirt you buy, they give you a free “dealer” button for you to use in your home poker games.
Example:

Price: $5 without buying a shirt
What the hell do those ‘dots’ above PROP mean? We’re glad you asked…the PROP logo represents individuality. There are three ovals which symbolize the vast poker community and all the like-minded followers in the world. The square-like dot represents the unique individual amongst the crowd, a person who isn‘t afraid to think differently within a sea of complacency and copycats.
They also sent me this Indian shirt, which was printed on one of the softest material’s I’ve felt. I believe it’s the super soft new line from American Apparel.

Price: $24

Enjoy Prop Clothing if you’re a poker fan.

Linty Fresh, who we love, has a new tee out. It’s called “The Most Fantastic Things”. It’s a green shirt with a nice abrstract design. Here’s what Eric, the author, wrote about it in poem form.
“At 12 between dozing and dreams She saw the most fantastic things A slumber adorned With razor-edged thorns That erupted in bloom at the seams
At 3 between dreaming and rest Her thoughts brought a bright-colored pest It nibbled just at Where the thornbush had sat And summoned its friends from the nest
At 6 between resting and dawn The odd vermins’ menace was gone They filled up balloons And watched the buds bloom From their spot by the oak in the lawn
A 9 between dawning and rise She wiped out the salt from her eyes She tried to start thoughts On the things she forgot But nothing remained in her mind”

Price: $20

We haven’t featured anything from Threadless in a while, so why not.
This one I like. I’m always a fan of “real world” type shirts, and monotone shirts. I’m not sure about the logo placement, but I guess it’s better then just being centered and going down to your belly button.

Who doesn’t love Space Invaders?

Honestly, Threadless hasn’t been producing much stuff that I’d buy. If you have bought something there lately, let us know what you got by leaving a comment.
I also hear if you use this code, you can save $3 right now on your order: “rubberdanpants”

It’s not often that I write a bad review on here. But… I also like to be very honest and not lie to the people, so I’m going to post an honest review of a shirt we got from Very Bad Tees. This company uses CafePress, which we do not condone using, get a real printer!
The shirt we got was this cheesy “Be Cool” shirt that looks like it came off a clip-art CD that you get when you buy a new computer… in 1999. Combine the clip art with some “WordArt” from Microsoft Word and you have the shirt. I cannot even begin to describe how bad the quality of the printing was. The graphic was extremely fuzzy, like when you try to blow up a JPG way bigger then you should. The shirt was a Hanes Heavyweight that I almost ripped taking out of the packaging.
Here’s a picture of the shirt:

Price: $19.99
I cannot recommend anyone buy anything from this vendor as long as they are using such poor quality printers and graphics. Step it up!
