Decktrash.com sent us a shirt called “munchee”. What is it? I have no freakin clue. Printed on American Apparel, they sent the wrong size so I didn’t get to wear it out.

Price: $15

Beyond Help

October 25th, 2007 by Matt

A few weeks ago we featured the Beyond Help polo with the middle finger. Now we’re going to take a closer look at the actual site.

Ok so truely, they’re one of those “general category” sites with tons of shirts that are usually a cheap joke or offensive. At least at Beyond Help they try to be original.

Sorry, these are really cheesy, but there wasn’t a ton to work with.

This one, I guess is my favorite:

I’m not sure what else to say. Take a look, check them out, and formulate your own opinions. I often wonder to myself how this type of shirt market is doing. Is it played out, or am I just getting older and more mature. You be the judge.

Less Thread More Shirts

October 24th, 2007 by Matt

We haven’t done a Threadless update in a while, and they’re of course, released a bajillion shirts. I’ll highlight some favorites.

Fall_ing - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

I’m not sure why I like it, maybe it’s because in Florida we don’t get to really see the seasons change. It’s mid October and it’s around 90F during the day.

Playground Joust - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

It’s nerdy, but I love it.

That’s it, the rest suck. If you disagree, please post a comment.

Tees on the Web

October 22nd, 2007 by Matt

This site, Tees on the Web, struck me as a company that would be selling tons of different shirts, from the “usual” categories of shirts from Funny to Offensive, etc. However, they are NOT. TOTW is an original clothing company from Ade Olumofin. They sent us a shirt along with a magazine called 944 which is a fashion industry magazine I have not seen before.

The shirt is from the “Asian Tiger” brand.

Available Colors: Black.
Available Sizes: Medium, Large, X-Large. (Click for Size Chart)
Available Quantity: Limited.
Fabric: 100% Cotton.
*Made in the USA
Price: $29.99

“The stunning black and gold asian tiger tee is our latest expansion of the asian tiger brand. Screen printed on the chest of the tshirt is the asian tiger in white and the hearts that illustrate the seductive powers of this majestic yet deadly creature are printed in gold”-their site.

The thing that worries me about this shirt, is that I wouldn’t consider it very manly, as in , I wouldn’t wear it. Also, the price is a bit high at $30. Right now the company only has 3 designs, printed on different color combinations with ink and shirt colors.

Click on the picture to read the article in 944 magazine.

My Roomie The Bagel

October 16th, 2007 by Matt

You haven’t heard of the independent film “My Roomie The Bagel” by Erik Raj? Don’t worry you’re not alone. I had the pleasure of seeing this small time released in a rented out movie theater over the summer. You however, can order the DVD if you want, or watch free video of it online. This shirt is from the movie, along with some other cool designs. The film group is called NJFilmcore. They’re from New Jersey, they’re straight edge, and they love hardcore music and the lifestyle.

The official site for the movie is: http://www.myroomiethebagel.com and the store to buy shirts is here: http://www.prettyneatmerch.com/store/njfilmcore

Color: Ash Grey
Professionally printed on Fruit of the Look BEST tee shirts. 50% Cotton and 50% Polyester equal 100% cool!

Custom Industries Update

October 10th, 2007 by Matt

You may or may not remember Custom Industries. To recap, they sell very unique looking shirts (in design, style, material, etc), and they usually have some foreign deity on them, always being influenced by a foreign culture. They have some new shirts out along with some hoodies, so here’s an update on their latest styles.

Destination: Java, Indonesia
Location: Southeast Asia

The giant 10 headed ogre DASA MUKA is considered to be a real lowlife in Javanese mythology. Obsessed with power, selfish greed & lust, each head is on the look out for his next scam. Acting like Dasa Muka while visiting an Indonesian home will get you nowhere. His effigy is there to ward off bad behavior.

Destination: China
Location: East Asia

The mythical QILIN, or Chinese unicorn, is a peaceful, serene creature. It’s a vegetarian, it looks out for all living things & is even careful stepping on grass. Qilin’s no wimp, though. If it catches you bullying the weak, it will burn you alive with its breath of scorching fire.

Destination: Banteay Srei, Cambodia
Location: Southeast Asia

Forget about network prime-time, the carved walls of the ancient Hindu temple of BANTEAY SREI depict scenes of enough lust, greed, murder & supernatural activity to keep you gossiping at the water cooler for weeks. The adulterous & vengeful god Indra steals the show atop his 3 headed elephant, raing lightening bolts upon his foes in a drunken stupor.

So as you can see, very different from the traditional shirt company. I really like their thermals, they’re snug fitting and make perfect undershirts with a jacket for going out, then once inside with the jacket off, they’re very classy looking. The shirt designs spark interesting conversation with any audience, so be prepared to explain the shirt, which is made easy since each shirt has a description and location on the website.

Shirts hover around $36 and they’re worth every dollar. Custom Industries takes Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal. I like it when sites take paypal.

Beyond Help Polo

October 3rd, 2007 by Matt

I’m always game for a polo shirt now and then, for those times when you need something besides a t-shirt, but don’t want to spend any extra time planning your wardrobe. A polo is perfect for this.

Beyond Help sent a… less offensive then their t-shirts, polo.

Price: 26.00
Colors: Black and Royal Blue, finger in grey
Get It Here

Ok so it’s still offensive, but I think you could get by a lot of people before they noticed what was actually on your shirt, much like the Keg Polo we featured last year. Beyond Help has dozens upon dozens of funny and offensive t-shirts. If that’s what you’re looking for, think of t-shirt hell, but with less graphics.

Check them out
