Custom Industries – YAMA

March 23rd, 2007 by Matt

Custom Industries always has some “out there” shirts with foreign gods and influences on them. They sent us this blue beauty:

I’m not quite sure what it is. The shirt has some outside stitching on the shoulders, which is a thing I’ve seen on all of CI’s shirts. The shirt is called YAMA, and YAMA is the buddist lord of death who took pleasure of cutting human life short.

Price: $30
Paypal, Visa, and Mastercard are accepted.

Linty Fresh: Turn Down The Beet

March 20th, 2007 by Matt

Linty Fresh, the company that brought us the Zebra Barcode shirt, has released a brand new shirt called “Never Turn Down The Beet”.

Here’s the text right from the site about the shirt, they explain it best, since I’m not familiar with Beethoven.

“Ludwig Van Beethoven is an historic icon of success tainted by tragedy. There’s a story I remember reading once about a performance he did. As most people know, he suffered from severe hearing loss (or more accurately a condition which simulated a loud and distracting din in his ears). Still, in this condition he had managed to compose complex and beautiful pieces, including his 9th symphony. Well on the premier performance of this particular work, once he finished someone had to actually approach him and turn him to face the applauding audience. But in his deafness he was unable to hear anything and he began to cry. Unbeknownst to him, he’d just written and performed a masterpiece that would outlive him by centuries.

I guess to me Beethoven is the definitive struggling artist, putting himself into his creations at a level that no one would ever be able to appreciate or understand like he could. He was all about the process for a crowd that could only hear the results.” -Lintyfresh.com

Buy Something Awesome

March 12th, 2007 by Matt

What a name for a site… “Buy Something Awesome“.

This clever shirt company has a range of shirts in their product line, but this site also has a bunch of stuff in the product mix, as it is a “reseller” site. So my only warning is beware that this site sells EVERYTHING.

They do however, have a small t-shirt selection.

They sent us “My way or the Hemmingway”. I didn’t like it, but maybe a writing major would.

Price: $14.

Threadless Spring Broke Sale

March 9th, 2007 by Matt

Threadless is having another $10 sale, this one only till March 12th. Most shirts are $10, and you get a free beer cozy with every order.

They have some dumb movies on the front page of each shirt and some people infront of a green screen.

There aren’t too many good shirts out right now, but they did reprint some awesome ones. Here’s my favorite reprints.

Calling Home - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Blow With The Wind - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Doin My Best - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

MP(3) - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Have fun at spring break kids. I’ll be in Panama City. Stay safe.

Wow. Just wow. These shirts are so awesome; I’ve been getting compliments on it all day long, mostly strangers!

Blast from the Past

Price: $14.99

Go back to the time (most of you) of juiceboxes and cookies, to a time of no obligations except your spelling homework and, well, having fun. Now you can get a taste of that past by getting one of these killer Legends of the Hidden Temple shirts! They have all 6 teams and I have to say I’ve been waiting a long time for shirts this good. I ordered the Orange and Green ones, and the comments on my shirts make for a much better conversation piece than a 40 year old fudge sickle could ever hope to do.

Hoodies from Threadless

March 3rd, 2007 by Matt

I finally got around to ordering a Hoodie from threadless. Perfecting timing since I’m in Florida and it’s now 80F outside :( . Oh well, I’m sure there will be a cold night sometime!

Here is the one I ordered.

I Can't Draw - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Here’s a picture of an old guy wearing it:

Overall, it’s what I expected. I classify this as an “emo” style hoodie. It’s relatively thin, unlike some sweatshirts you get that are very thick and provide a ton of warmth. If it was cold out I wouldn’t just wear this hoodie and nothing under it. It is soft though and the print is large. I wear Large shirts, so I ordered an XL and it fits great, even a bit snug. I have yet to wash it so I don’t know how much it will shrink. Anyhow, I wanted to pass this on to anyone else who is considering a hoodie from Threadless.

GMTee’s

March 2nd, 2007 by Matt

Do you like Oriental style shirts? I think these shirts are Japanese, but I’m not 100% sure. Are you oriental? Either way you’ll dig this next vendor.

GMTee‘s.

They have tons of awesome and unique prints.

Here’s the one I requested:

It looks silver print, but it’s actually all black print on a stickyish, shiny, rubbery print.
Price: US$34.95 + Shipping

They also have some unique shirts that are stitched. Lemme show you what I mean..

Price: US$34.95 + Shipping

Info via their site: “GMTEE designed this T-shirt to be printed on the inside only, but then our manufacturer had his own idea and stitched it with the dragons outside! Wear it inside out, keeping those dragons close to your heart.”

Looks pretty cool in my opinion. Check them out though, I’m sure everyone can find a ton of designs they will love. These shirts are printed from Japan, so they take a couple weeks to arrive, but mine arrived perfect, wrapped, and undamaged.

Check out GMTEE
