Huzzah Goods

November 30th, 2006 by Matt

Another company I forgot, not by choice, is Huzzah Goods. Normally I don’t like the word Huzzah, because I always hear people say it in film clubs and stuff, but never understood what it meant, all I know is once one person says it, everyone repeats it.

They’re having a giant sale, which you’ll see as soon as you go to their site. $10 shirts, and 10% of the profit ($1 for those of you out there without a calculator), will go to a children’s charity.

They sent me this shirt, which you can click on to take you to the page for a larger version, since their photo is HUGE.

Price: $10

It’s a detailed drawling of the layout of a nintendo controller. Gamer’s, get on this, it’s the best version I’ve ever seen.
This shirt is part of the Huzzah Goods “Won’t Someone Please Think of the Children!” Sale.

They’ve got some other interesting shirts on their site, so check it out.

Spindustry

November 29th, 2006 by Matt

I messed up and never posted this review, only to be reminded of my mistake, so sorry!

Meet Spindustry Clothing. Hip, Unique, and Colorful are words that described the shirts when I opened the box.

All of the shirts are the size you would normally order, they don’t shrink much, they are a bit on the heavy side, as compared to AA’s soft feel, and personally I don’t like AA shirts. The quality of the printing is awesome. I’ve washed some a number of times now, no wear at all, no peeling.

Let’s start with my favorite of the Men’s Shirts they sent:

Price: $19
Get It Here

This reminds me of a shirt that we reviewed by Smack clothing, I think it was. Anyhow, the colors go together beautiful, with a nice contrast on the deep red (not cranberry) color of the shirt.

Next is one I thought my film friend and heterosexual life mate, Kyle Fasanella would like, but it turns outs its more my other film friend’s style, Justin Johnson. Either way, it’s unique and if you can pull it off, you can really pull it off.

Price: $19

Hand printed with fluorescent blue, fluorescent pink, and purple inks.

Lastly, was something for my girlfriend. After making her actually try it on, and not telling her it was a ladder, she loves it. I think it looks great.

Price: $24

This company rules, check them out, they’re unique.

Check Out Spindustry.

Pure Hero

November 24th, 2006 by Matt

Still want to be a Super-Hero after the age of 10? Well you can be.

Pure Hero.

This company describes itself as the following:
“Founded in 2005, we believe that superhero fans want and deserve more than the same old tee-shirt. We design premium performance apparel that reflects our love for superheroes, using the best sports designs. Whether playing classic or extreme sports, gaming, or just studying physics like Peter Parker, you’ll love our product – how it feels, how it works, how it looks.” – PureHero.com

Ok so you interested? Here’s how it breaks down. They have 3 types of apparel for your comic book fanatasies.

  • Performance Crew Shirts $28-$35
  • Cycling Jerseys $50-$75
  • Super Hero Long Sleeve Tech Jerseys (Moto-X/BMX inspired) $50

These styles are each completely different. The shirts are regular shirts as you’d expect, but the others are athletic type wear comparable to UnderArmor, I believe. Such as the cycling jerseys for anyone interested in that, and the Super Hero Long Sleeve, I compare to Paintball and Motorcross style jerseys. Breathable, tight fitting (a little baggy however, not spandex).

Here’s some pics of their gear:

So as you can see, if you’re a big comic book fan, these are for you! Check out Pure Hero

Deez Tee’s

November 21st, 2006 by Matt

Deez Tee’s doesn’t get enough love. So I’m going to give them some.

Their classics are these:

But right now they have a new promotion for a free shirt going on:

If you buy 3, you get one free.

Some other favorites include this one for everyone at a Community College, that’s at least more creative then those “Communuty College” shirts that are a parody of Animal House “College” shirts, I hate those:

and this frat-tastic tee:

Their shirts are only $13.99, decent for shirts, and you get the 4th free. Anyone could easily find 4 shirts from this site that they love.

Check them out for the holiday season.

Borat. Great movie.

That said, of course there are going to be some shirts from it. I was looking around the web for some and came up with some of my favorites:

From “PhatRags“:

Let’s Make Sexy Time.

Wow Wow Wee Waa! This is one of the best shirts ever. Yes, I like. Let’s make sexy time. It’s nice!

Everyone in Kazakhstan must have this shirt. Or, where ever you are from.

This quality t-shirt is charcoal with black print. Enjoy!

Busted Tee’s has one out too:

Price: $17.99

I’ll put up some more as I find good ones.

Rockers: It’s Dangerous

November 7th, 2006 by Matt

Rockers, It’s Dangerous. Either it means something to you, or it doesn’t.

Rockers“, was a cult classic among the reggae scene. The movie came out in 1978 and its culture is still going strong. The “Internet Movie Database” describes the plot outline as: “Harder They Come meets Hard Days Night. No real plot just lots of reggae.”

This website is officially licensed gear from the movie, and the Reggae scene in general. Everything from Pot Leaves to Bob Marley.

Here’s a couple of their shirts:

Shirts range in price from $15 to $36 depending on style and if they are limited edition or not. All shirts fit your regular size. The quality is amazing. I’m going to spend a little time here to explain.

The shirts not only have screen printing, but there is reflective material paint, beadwork, stitching, etc, all going into these shirts. When you buy the 2nd shirt listed, $29, you may think it’s overpriced for a t-shirt, but believe me, the stitching is great and the screen printing is in separate hoops and fantastic. Pictures on the internet cannot show the quality, I wish I could show every reader in person.

This 2nd shirt has the metallic coloring I am talking about.

They also included a hat, which doesn’t fit my style, but I like it on some of my friends:

Price: $25

So if you love the reggae culture, this site is your ultimate dream. Bob Marley fan? Marijuana Fan? Reggae Fan? Or anything in between, you’ll feel at home.

Check Them Out, It’s Dangerous! I’ll keep everyone updated, as they have sales and specials all the time!

Custom Industries Part 2

November 6th, 2006 by Matt

Custom Industries is one of my top companies that I love to wear because they aren’t cheesy. They have cool designs, on unique shirts with things like outside stitching, thermal shirts that look awesome, and foreign culture influence.

The latest shirt we received is “Banteay Srei”. What is it? No idea. The hang tag that came attached to the shirt reads as follows:
“Forget about network prime-time, the carved walls of the ancient Hindu temple of Banteay Srei depict scenes of enough lust, greed, murder, and supernatural activity to keep you gossiping at the water cooler for weeks. The adulterous and vengeful god Indra steals the show atop his 3 headed elephant, raining lightening bolts upon his foes in a drunken stupor.”

A god that gets drunk and fucks with people? That I could get used to, no wonder they’re so fearful over there in Asia.

Anyhow, check it out:

Ok, enough is enough.

November 3rd, 2006 by Matt

Threadless is nothing like what it was back in the day. That’s my personal opinion. What do you guys think? I personally don’t like the “new age” Threadless as much as the “old styles”. They were… interesting. I wanted to buy almost all of the old designs, but the new ones are getting a bit out of hand I think, and some are just downright stupid. I don’t know how they get printed, and when you look at their “review rating”, it’s like 15% like it.

Here is this week’s lineup..

WTF is this???
Never Gunna Give You Up... - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Not horrible:
The Wandering Troubadours - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

A bit corny, and over the top:
THIS Is How The World Ends - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

But, at least they reprinted this one, since I never got a chance to get it:
In Case Of Zombies - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Anyhow, I’m interested to know if you guys like the new or old threadless better?

MissWit

November 2nd, 2006 by Matt

Miss who? Misswit. Started by Deb Goldstein. It’s a women’s clothing line. She says she is the one who started the “Colbert and Stewart for 04″ shirt, but the world will never know.

She describes her shirts the best, so I’m gonna go off what she wrote. Too bad some of the designs were sent in men’s sizes, my gf would have loved to wear them around. But here’s what we got, regardless.

Who can forget dancing around the living room singing the song into your mom’s best candlestick holder, whilst jamming the best air guitar solo this side OF Detroit rock city? It’s a lonely world my children, ya gotta do the best you can, go on get that shirt and take the midnight train goinÍ anywhere!
Price: $19

Boys…wakey wakey man! What is wrong with the “men” today…they want to play, play, play – instead of work, work, work for the affection of a woman. Blame it on internet dating, blame it on Rio…but sweethearts — get with the program, the lovin’ of a woman will set ya straight…stop making her feel easy!

What does that mean? I have no idea.
Price: $19
Get The Full Story Here

This was actually a men’s size, so maybe they do sell men’s shirts?

They laughed at you.
They blew spitballs at the screen while you consciously tried to set up the algebra lesson on the over head projector for Mr. Ogerman.
They gave you wet willies as you set up the slide show for Mr. Ubaska on the benefits of formaldehyde while dissecting frogs.
Price: $19

Overall, the quailty was pretty standard, I can’t really talk about the shirts for women because we only received one in women’s size, but that one fits fine, but really tight. Shows off the goods if you know what I mean.
Check out Misswit.

Savage Rips part 2

November 1st, 2006 by Matt

Savage Rips, which have been featured here before, sent us another package, so here’s another review for all the fans who liked them the first time around.

I like it, but it reminds me of a prison for some reason. I gave this one to one of my fraternity brothers with a mohawk and he looked great in it. Same great quality as always, and a little bit of a tight fit.
Price: ??
I can’t find the shirt on their site. Maybe it’s sold out.

The other shirt is a girls shirt called “Bust”. Tight form fitting shirt with a nice screen print that runs across half the length of the shirt.

Here’s what the site says about it:
#4542BUS // DISASTER SERIES // 100% COMBED RING SPUN COTTON // SUPER SOFT FABRIC WASH // FINE JERSEY
Price: $32

So yah, Savage Rips is stayin true to the surf life, if that’s you, check em out.
